About DF Studio

DF Studio Cafe is where community engagement is learned and fostered. It's a virtual bootcamp where brands transform into human-like entities online through the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vine.

Successful community outreach involves developing a digital strategy that makes use of social media platforms to help achieve your short and long term goals.

Creating the right digital strategy starts with a conversation. It involves asking the right questions, to determine the right steps to take, to reach realistic goals.

DF Studio Cafe is run by Carmen Villadar, a digital strategy consultant. Carmen was an early adopter of social media, using it for brand engagement and community management back in 2007.

Carmen Villadar

Carmen is easily one of the most capable persons I have met at creating conversations online. It’s hard to quantify the value gained from community engagement and self-pr, but every business and organisation needs a “Carmen” on their team.

Testimonials

Carmen’s knowledge of community engagement and social media really helped our PTPT project advance to the next level. She was able to quickly understand PTPT’s concept and develop a full social media strategy that complemented our company’s key messaging. Her ability to work independently – remotely was an asset.

We were able to bring back Carmen to help launch our mailbe.at mobile Android app. She worked diligently with our developers and marketing team to establish a beta tester community. She was valuable in making sure that communication flowed smoothly and was always on top of any issues that people brought up on our social platforms.

Great brands are great at creating conversation. They get their audience talking, interacting and engaged.

Social media is a great vehicle for creating conversation and is a perfect vehicle for enabling the business to take PR into its own hands, so to speak.

This is where Carmen comes in. Carmen is easily one of the most capable persons I have met at creating conversations online. It’s hard to quantify the value gained from community engagement and self-pr, but every business and organisation needs a “Carmen” on their team.

Carmen was doing self-pr and community engagement before it was even a recognized term. To my mind, she is and was a preliminary thought leader in this space.

Further, the  best thing about Carmen is a character that possess both integrity and empathy in huge volumes. Very rare in today’s workplaces, but very much needed.

For a fresh infusion of talent, Carmen is the person to go to.

Carmen was a delight to work with! Her strategic thinking contributed greatly to the LuckyStudent social approach. She is an extremely trustworthy colleague that has shown complete professionalism given confidential information and has brought much needed knowledge and experience to the table to improve the knowledge of everyone at the company. A constant learner with a can-do attitude, I would not hesitate to hire or work with Carmen again.
